Food Minister Mr. Baghel : Students should become proficient in sports, arts and vocational skills

Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel today attended the initiation program of Government Kodu Ram Dalit College of Navagarh development block of Bemetara district. The newly admitted students of the college were given information regarding the provisions of the National Education Policy 2020. During this, the Food Minister also planted trees in the campus.

Minister Mr. Baghel gave information about the main objective, provisions, features and various types of faculties of the National Education Policy 2020. The group of subjects to be selected by the students under the education policy, generic-elective and group of value addition courses were explained. There is a greater emphasis on a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to education so that students become proficient in subjects as well as sports, arts and vocational skills.

Under the education policy, students have been explained about the provisions related to credit based courses, continuous internal assessment and end semester examination. The doubts of students or parents were also resolved. On this occasion, President of Nagar Panchayat Navagarh, Smt. Manjulata Ratre, Municipal Councillor Mr. Zahid Baig, Principal of Government K.R.D. Mahavidyalaya Mrs. M. Banjara and members of the Mahavidyalaya family were present in large numbers.
