Pharmacy education and research will transform the healthcare system: Health Minister Shri Jaiswal

  • Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal attended Pharma Anveshan 2026 as the Chief Guest

On the occasion of National Pharmacy Education Day, Chhattisgarh Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal attended the Pharma Anveshan 2026 program held at Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, as the chief guest. The program was organized by the University Institute of Pharmacy in collaboration with the Pharmacy Council of India.

The theme of the program was “Future Pharma Ecosystem: Coordination between Academia, Industry, Research, Regulatory and Practice”, in which special discussion was held on better coordination between pharmacy education, research and industry.

Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister Shri Jaiswal stated that the pharmacy sector is the backbone of healthcare services and its role is becoming increasingly important in modern medicine. He added that the Chhattisgarh government is strengthening the state’s health infrastructure and encouraging pharmacy education and research.

Inspiring youth and researchers, he said that only through innovation and research can we ensure better and accessible healthcare. He also emphasized the need for increased collaboration between academic institutions and industry, which could create new opportunities.

Various sessions like Keynote Session, Industry-Academia Dialogue, Patent & Innovation Showcase, Oral & Poster Presentations were organised in the programme, in which students, researchers and experts actively participated.

Through this event, important initiatives were taken towards promoting excellence, skill development and innovation in the field of pharmacy education.
