 Prime Minister’s Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme: Jamuna Pandey’s house is being illuminated by solar energy

In accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme is being implemented to make the public energy-reliant by installing solar rooftop systems on every home. Through this scheme, many homes in Mungeli district are being illuminated by solar energy, and people are moving towards energy self-sufficiency, freeing them from electricity costs. This scheme not only provides financial relief to citizens but also proves to be a strong step towards environmental protection and energy self-sufficiency.
         Jamuna Pandey of Nagar Panchayat Sargaon installed a 2-kilowatt rooftop solar system at her residence. As soon as the solar system was operational, her home is now illuminated by solar energy. Jamuna Pandey stated that the installation of solar panels has provided relief from electricity bills. The simple process and subsidy under the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme encouraged her to adopt the solar system. After installing a 2-kW solar system, not only has his household electricity bill decreased, but he is also contributing to environmental protection through the use of clean energy. Describing this scheme as a relief for the common man and an investment for the future, he expressed his gratitude to the government and administration. He also appealed to other citizens to adopt solar energy to not only reap economic benefits but also to participate in energy conservation and environmental protection. It 
          is noteworthy that under the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme, the central and state governments are providing subsidies ranging from ₹30,000 to ₹78,000 for rooftop solar systems. Subsidies of ₹45,000 are provided for 1-kW solar systems, ₹90,000 for 2-kW solar systems, and ₹1,08,000 for 3-kW solar systems. This provision is making solar energy accessible and affordable to ordinary citizens. To encourage the public to participate in the scheme, banks are providing loans at low interest rates and in easy installments, as directed by the government. This has made it easier for the public to benefit from the scheme.
