Distinguished media academic Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Dayal formally assumed charge as Vice Chancellor of Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication, Raipur, today. Raipur Divisional Commissioner Mahadev Kavre welcomed the Vice Chancellor with a bouquet of flowers.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dayal paid tribute to the statue of Kushabhau Thakre, the university’s inspiration, a remarkable organizer, and an epitome of sacrifice and simplicity, and reviewed administrative and academic work. On this occasion, he expressed his gratitude to the Honorable Governor and Chief Minister and introduced himself to all members of the university family. Prof. Dayal met with research scholars and postgraduate students in the library and inquired about their research. He recorded a congratulatory message for the university’s community radio station, Radio Samvad 90.8 FM, and inspected the television studio and various faculty buildings. He also interacted with students studying in various departments and expressed his resolve to elevate academic quality to new heights.
On this occasion, all the department heads, professors, officers and employees of the university welcomed and congratulated the new Vice Chancellor.
