The picture of 856 schools is changing due to construction, renovation and upgradation of new schools in Kabirdham district

  • To improve the quality of education and condition of buildings special emphasis is being given
  • The schools of the district are being upgraded due to the ambitious scheme of the government

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai is giving special emphasis on improving the quality of education and the condition of buildings. Due to the repair and renovation of government schools of Kabirdham district with special priority, the students are getting a better environment for education. An approval of Rs 42 crore 19 lakh 88 thousand has been received for the repair and renovation of schools in Kabirdham district. In the current academic session, 653 schools have been repaired and renovated as per the requirement. Along with this, the work of 203 schools is in progress.

Due to the efforts of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, the upgradation work of the schools of Kabirdham district is being done. Through this, the students also get a safe, clean and inspiring educational environment. These works are being reviewed continuously by the Collector and instructions have been given to the officers for its monitoring. Many new facilities have been added to the schools under the renovation works. These include clean drinking water facilities, toilets, computers. These facilities not only fulfill the basic needs of the students but also help them in their studies.

In Kabirdham district, school building repair, renovation, courtyard, toilet, drinking water, water harvesting ramp handrail and renovation work along with additional room construction is being done for 2022-23 and 2023-24 from school education item, Samagra Shiksha item, CSR and PASHRI item, for which approval of these works has been received from the state government. 561 works have been approved at a cost of Rs 23 crore 26 lakh 07 thousand for school repair, renovation, construction of additional rooms. In this, 409 works have been completed and 22 works are in progress. Similarly, under the school education item, 24 works have been approved at a cost of Rs 01 crore 92 lakh 91 thousand for construction of additional rooms, renovation, courtyard. In this, 23 works have been completed and 01 work is in progress.

Under the Samagra Shiksha head, 366 works have been approved for primary, secondary school building construction, repair, construction of additional rooms, boys and girls toilets, drinking water at a cost of 13 crore 23 lakh 34 thousand rupees. Out of this, 188 works have been completed and 158 works are in progress. Under the Samagra Shiksha head, 28 works have been approved for construction of additional rooms, repair, toilets, computers in high, higher secondary schools at a cost of 02 crore 06 lakh 78 thousand rupees. Out of this, 14 works have been completed and 13 works are in progress. Under the CSR head, 10 works have been approved for school building construction at a cost of 1 crore 14 lakh 80 thousand rupees. Out of this, 10 works have been completed. Under the PM Shri head, 18 works have been approved for toilets, water harvesting ramp handrail, construction, repair of additional rooms at a cost of 55 lakh 98 thousand rupees. In this, 09 works have been completed and 09 works are in progress.

The collector is regularly reviewing the works in progress approved under the schemes by holding meetings and has given instructions to complete the works quickly. Its regular monitoring is also being done. The collector has directed the officials to keep a constant watch for quality construction work and the work agency department has been instructed to complete the quality work within the time limit.

It is noteworthy that school building repair, renovation, courtyard, toilet, drinking water, water harvesting ramp handrail and renovation work along with additional rooms are being constructed from School Education Fund, Samagra Shiksha Fund, CSR and PASHRI Fund. So that children can get a better environment for education. It is noteworthy that all the approved works are being constructed by District Panchayat, RES, Gram Panchayat, out of which many works have been completed and schools have been started. The remaining works are also almost nearing completion. Schools are being run regularly and in the places where repair work is in progress, schools are being run under alternative arrangements.
