- Instructions given to ensure better publicity of the schemes of the government

Secretary of Public Relations Department Shri P. Dayanand has said that public relations officers have an important role in taking the schemes of the state government to the people. He directed the public relations officers to ensure that the information about the schemes and programs of the state government reaches the last person of the society. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, many schemes are being run by the Chhattisgarh government for the welfare of the people. In the last 10 months, the state government has started many flagship schemes for farmers, youth, women and the poor, which is bringing positive change in the lives of the people. He directed to promote the public welfare schemes of the government as much as possible through print, electronic, digital and social media. He was addressing the review meeting of departmental work at Chhattisgarh Samvad Bhawan located in Nava Raipur today.
Secretary Shri P Dayanand said that various means of social media should be used as much as possible to increase the reach of schemes to the people. He said that the present era is of information revolution, in such a situation the importance of social media is increasing. Public relations officers should use social media platforms as much as possible. He said that all officers should ensure to provide news to the news media quickly.
Secretary Shri P Dayanand said that the language style of the news should be simple, attractive and readable. In the success story, factual information and relevant photographs should be used about the change in a person’s life. Special articles should be regularly released from time to time regarding the flagship schemes and innovative works of the state government.
He said that hoardings related to urban schemes should be put up in urban areas and similarly hoardings of schemes related to rural areas should be put up in the premises of tehsil headquarters and district panchayats. In the meeting, he reviewed the publicity work in electronic media, national media and print media at regional level and gave necessary guidelines to the officers.
In the meeting, he instructed to provide all the necessary facilities in the district public relations offices, so that maximum publicity of the works and flagship schemes of the government can be ensured. He also took information about the departmental set-up and gave necessary instructions. Secretary Shri Dayanand inspected various branches of Chhattisgarh Samvad and gave necessary instructions to the officers.
Director Public Relations Shri Ajay Kumar Agarwal, Additional Director Shri J.L. Dario, Shri Umesh Mishra, Shri Sanjeev Tiwari, Shri Alok Dev, Shri Santosh Maurya, Mrs. Harsha Puranik and other officers of the department were present in the meeting.
