Practical training on disaster management was given to the officers and staff of the Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRTI) for the maintenance of the “Martyr Veer Narayan Singh Memorial cum Tribal Freedom Fighter Museum” and “Tribal Museum” established in the Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar, Sector-24 campus. The officers and staff of the institute, including the director of the institute, Mrs. Hina Aminesh Netam, participated in the training program. The training was organized with the courtesy of Home Guard, Civil Defence, Fire and Emergency Service SDRF.

In this training, the skilled SDRF team, led by Mr. Pushpraj Singh, along with Mr. Deepak Kaushik and Mr. Rakesh Bhoyar, Assistant Sub-Inspectors, provided comprehensive technical and experiential information on “Disaster Management and Emergency Response.” Following the training, a demonstration of the practical and applied aspects of disaster management was conducted in the institute’s open campus, where all staff, visitors to the museum, and students received hands-on practice in responding to various types of disasters, such as fires.
Institute Director Hina Animesh Netam stated that this training was beneficial for everyone, and important from a workplace and family safety perspective. Furthermore, more such trainings are planned in the future, especially on emergency health issues.
