Union Budget 2026–27: A strong foundation for a developed India through skills, technology and employment – ​​Minister of Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment, Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb

Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and presented by Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Budget 2026–27 is a historic and visionary document that realizes the resolve for a developed India. Reacting to the budget, Minister Shri Guru Khuswant Saheb said that this budget lays a strong foundation for a self-reliant India by connecting youth with skills, technology, and employment. He said that this is the first budget presented at Kartavya Bhavan in which economic development, employment generation, and the spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” are central. This budget will prove to be a milestone towards the empowerment of the poor, farmers, youth, women, middle class, and working class, which will directly benefit states like Chhattisgarh.

Minister Shri Saheb said that the budget has given special priority to skill development and employment for youth. New employment opportunities will be created in startups, MSMEs, manufacturing, tourism, and service sectors. Technical education, skill development, and industry-linked training will equip youth with future-oriented skills.

He said that concrete initiatives have been taken to prepare the workforce for global competition by promoting AI, modern technology, and innovation, which will provide new direction to ITIs, polytechnics, and training institutions. Announcements related to agriculture, the rural economy, the health sector, women’s empowerment, and industrial development will encourage large-scale employment generation.

Finally, Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb said that the Union Budget 2026–27 further strengthens the spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, and Sabka Vishwas.” Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on behalf of the people of Chhattisgarh, he said that this budget will certainly propel the country towards the goal of a developed India.
