Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the 500th Jayanti of Veerangana Rani Durgavati is a day to honor valour, sacrifice, women empowerment and respect. Rani Durgavati embodied indomitable courage and bravery. During her reign, no Mughal, Pathan, Sultan or invader dared to challenge Gondwana. She defended her kingdom until her last breath, sacrificing her life for its protection. The Chief Minister said that to commemorate her legacy, a significant decision was made to hold a Cabinet meeting in Singhrampur to mark a new chapter of development in tribal areas. He expressed joy that today, from the first capital of Veerangana Rani Durgavati, ₹1934 crore 71 lakh was transferred to the accounts of beneficiaries under the Ladli Behna Yojana, Social Security Pension, and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Gas Scheme with a single click. Additionally, the Ayushman Card Scheme was launched for senior citizens over 70 years of age, and development projects worth ₹5 crore 47 lakh were inaugurated and dedicated for the region’s progress.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a women’s conference in village Singhrampur of Damoh district on Saturday. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Deora, Shri Rajendra Shukla and all the members of the Cabinet were present in the conference. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the dignity and respect of women are paramount. Numerous welfare and self-employment schemes are being effectively implemented for women across all sections of society. He highlighted that a provision of ₹18,984 crore has been allocated for the Ladli Behna Yojana in the year 2024-25. Expressing satisfaction, he mentioned that in Damoh district alone, two and a half lakh women are benefiting from the scheme. Prime Minister Modi has launched initiatives to make women financially empowered, including a scheme to transform sisters into lakhpatis. He has also introduced the ‘One Country-One Election’ policy, ensuring that women will now receive 33% reservation in both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. This move acknowledges the vital role of women in governance, empowering them to contribute to order, development, and leadership. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav further announced that a series of activities focused on women’s empowerment will be conducted from today until Navratri, including training in martial arts and cyber technology. These initiatives aim to make women self-reliant and informed.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given a significant gift to the farmers of the Bundelkhand region through the Ken-Betwa project. In the near future, water will reach the fields across the region, leading to abundant crops. He expressed confidence that Bundelkhand will surpass Punjab and Haryana in agricultural production. The Chief Minister urged farmers not to sell their agricultural land under any circumstances, as the Ken-Betwa river project promises a golden future for them. He also said that the Cabinet has decided to provide crop loans to farmers at zero percent interest, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to the welfare of the farming community.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the importance of connecting the future generation with our rich heritage. He announced that all the places in Madhya Pradesh where Lord Shri Ram and Shri Krishna once walked will be developed as pilgrimage sites. The government is committed to celebrating all festivals with great enthusiasm. Recently, Raksha Bandhan and Shri Krishna Janmashtami were celebrated with grandeur across the state. Looking ahead, Dussehra will also be celebrated with the same fervor. The state government has decided that Shastra Pujan (worship of weapons) will take place in every district on the occasion of Dussehra. The Chief Minister, along with the entire cabinet, MPs, and MLAs, will participate in Shastra Pujan in their respective regions.
