State-level dialogue program was organized to receive suggestions from youth, farmers, women, and intellectuals to prepare the ‘Amrit Kaal: Chhattisgarh Vision @ 2047 document’

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended a state-level dialogue program, “Mor Sapna Mor Viksit Chhattisgarh” organized by the Rajya NITI Aayog to prepare the Chhattisgarh Vision 2047 document. The event took place at the New Circuit House on July 16. In his address, Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the vision document for ‘Viksit Chhattisgarh’ is being developed with the participation of all stakeholders. This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s resolution to make India a developed nation by 2047. Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary presided over the program.

Chief Minister Shri Sai highlighted that, under Prime Minister Shri Modi’s leadership, India has become the world’s fifth-largest economy over the past decade and aims to become the third-largest in the next five years. He emphasised Chhattisgarh’s significant role in achieving this goal, noting the state’s abundant natural resources, forest wealth, and human resources. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of adding value to the state’s resources to achieve ‘Viksit Chhattisgarh.’ He called the Chhattisgarh ‘Yuva Rajya’ and emphasised that the government will focus on vocational training through the implementation of the new education policy. Shri Sai stated that his government is implementing reforms in every sector with the cooperation of all stakeholders and is taking steps to ensure transparency in governance, adhering to a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai announced that the vision document for Chhattisgarh and a new industrial policy will be dedicated to the public on November 1, 2024, the state’s foundation day. He highlighted the significant discussions on organic farming and appreciated the perspectives shared by youth, farmers, women, and intellectuals on the development of Chhattisgarh. Coming from a farming background, the Chief Minister expressed his deep interest in agriculture and emphasised the importance of rural development. The event saw participation from various sections of society, including a large number of women, whose presence was specially acknowledged by the Chief Minister.

During the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai addressed questions about the ‘Drone Didi’ scheme, sharing that training for this initiative is being arranged at the technical university in Bhilai. This aligns with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s goal of making 3 crore ‘Lakhpati Didis’, where Drone Didis will play a crucial role. He praised Padma Shri Jageshwar Yadav for his dedicated service to the Korwa-Birhor community, despite being uneducated and living a simple life.

Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary stated that suggestions received during the program would be compiled by the Rajya NITI Aayog. He highlighted the immense potential of tourism and the service sector in the state and emphasised the need to promote organic farming to counter the rising cancer rates due to chemical fertilisers. He also stressed the importance of increasing youth participation in agriculture and considering land consolidation for progressive farming. Shri Choudhary emphasised the need to focus on land labelling, fencing, and water availability for the irrigation of horticultural crops. He suggested promoting agro-tourism in the state and enhancing skill development initiatives to achieve ‘Viksit Chhattisgarh’.

The event, attended by approximately 200 participants, included notable figures such as Padma Shri recipients Shri Ajay Mandavi and Shri Jageshwar Yadav, along with farmers and youth representatives. Many participants offered suggestions for Chhattisgarh’s development. The Chief Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Rajya NITI Aayog, Shri Amitabh Jain, and Planning , Economics & Statistics Department Secretary Shri Ankit Anand also addressed the program. The Chief Minister’s advisor, Shri Dhirendra Tiwari, Rajya NITI Aayog member Shri K. Subramaniam, Secretary Shri Anup Srivastava, and the Chief Minister’s Secretary, Shri Rahul Bhagat, were present.
