Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers Jagat Prakash Nadda on Friday visited the historic ‘Jal Mandir’ and ‘Veer Baoli’ complex in Jabalpur and reviewed the ongoing restoration works. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that these water structures are living testimonies to the glorious past of the Gondwana Kingdom.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Union Minister Shri Nadda appreciated the architectural excellence of the stepwell and the restoration efforts undertaken there. They stated that the primary objective of the government is to preserve historic heritage and acquaint future generations with it. Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh provided a detailed briefing on the project.

During the inspection of this unique architectural structure situated between Rani Tal and Cheri Tal, it was informed that the stepwell is not merely a water structure but a symbol of the rich legacy of the Gondwana Kingdom. Located between Rani Tal and Cheri Tal, the Veer Baoli stands as a living testament to the nature-centric vision and public welfare–oriented policies of Rani Durgavati. The water conservation techniques adopted during that era are reflected here as an unparalleled model of traditional wisdom and sustainable engineering.
