- Mohbhatta’s Dhaneshwari gets a strong livelihood base
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, women from across the state shared inspiring stories of self-reliance at the Lakhpati Didi Samvad program held at Raipur’s Indoor Stadium. Women from Mungeli district also inspired everyone by sharing their success stories. Mrs. Usha Shrivas, a member of the Jai Maa Shitala Self Help Group in Chandkhuri, Patharia Block, explained that after joining the group, she began a small-scale livelihood activity. With the support, training, and financial assistance from the group, she expanded her work and today, becoming financially empowered, has earned recognition as “Lakhpati Didi.”
Similarly, Mrs. Dhaneshwari Sao of Village Panchayat Mohbhatta also shared her inspiring journey. She explained that joining the self-help group provided her with a strong livelihood foundation. Through continuous hard work and the support of the group, she increased her income and has become an inspiration for her family and other women. Addressing the women present at the program, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that the state government is continuously striving for the economic empowerment of women. Through self-help groups, women are becoming self-reliant and playing a vital role in the state’s development. On this occasion, Lakhpati Didis, who came from various districts of the state, shared their experiences and explained that through collective efforts, training, and the support of government schemes, women are setting new examples of self-reliance.
