Chief Minister Dr. Under the leadership of Mohan Yadav and under the guidance of Director General of Police Mr. Kailash Makwana, the 15- day special public awareness campaign “Nashe Se Dastri Hai Nestri 2.0 ” organized from 15th to 30th July 2026 in the region has done a historic job of raising awareness about drug addiction in the society. This campaign could take the form of mass movement with the cooperation of state government , district administration , police department , social justice department , higher education department , school education department , educational institutions , voluntary organizations and common citizens. The main objective of the campaign was to keep the youth away from the vicious cycle of drug addiction , to encourage awareness and empathy based communication in the society , to connect drug victims with rehabilitation , counseling and cooperation and to present the police as a ” Community Leader” beyond ” Law Enforcer” .
Director General of Police Mr. Kailash Makwana expressed his gratitude to all the police officers , employees , district administration , allied departments , voluntary organizations and citizens of the region for the historic success of the campaign and said that ” this campaign against drug addiction has become a mass movement of the entire society , not just the police . The participation of the people of the region has proved that collective resolve is the greatest power against social evils.
- A massive public awareness campaign for 15 days
Various activities were conducted daily during the 15- day campaign. Broadcasting on local radio and FM channels , distribution of banners , posters , hoardings and pamphlets at public places, as well as video campaigns through digital screens at bus stands and major intersections. Information about the side effects of drugs was given from the PA system of cleaning vehicles. The campaign has reached out to farmers working in the fields and workers working in factories , while the message has spread widely on social media platforms through the hashtags #Nashe_Se_Dashtar_Hai_Nashri 2.0 , #SayNoToDrugs and #NashamuktMP .
During the campaign, “Selfie Points” have been set up at every venue and helpline numbers 1933, 14446, website https://ncbmanas.gov.in etc. for complaints and consultations related to narcotics . Q. Police Narcotics Department Mo. No. 7049100785 was promoted. Promotional materials like caps , wrist bands , badges , posters and banners were also distributed.
Heartfulness organization along with social justice and MSME department played an active role in the campaign. The message was conveyed to the masses through street plays , song-music , workshops , rallies and competitions.
Rallies , street plays , workshops , speech competitions were organized in schools , colleges , gram panchayats , urban wards , and public places in the state. Oath was administered collectively in each district.
People’s representatives , youth , women’s groups , school students , teachers , Anganwadi workers , industrial workers , social workers and voluntary organizations actively participated in the campaign.
In the campaign, voluntary organizations and social organizations NGOs, NCC, NSS, NYK, Scout-Guide , Mahila Mandal and self-help groups organized programs at their respective levels and accelerated the campaign.
Posts , videos and awareness messages related to the campaign reached millions of people digitally.

More than 60 eminent personalities from film , television , music , sports , literature , spirituality , social and international fields have joined the “Nashe Se Dastri Hai Mazhoori 2.0” campaign through their motivational messages and given it the form of a mass movement.

- Abhiyaan Mein Bane Panch World Record , Made History by Madhya Pradesh Police
During the campaign, Madhya Pradesh Police created a new identity at the global level through public participation. A total of five world records were established in the region under the campaign , which were recognized by the World Book of Records , London.
The Indore Police Commissionerate set two separate world records by administering e-oath to 1 lakh 75 thousand 451 citizens simultaneously and making a human chain of 8,534 citizens.
Barwani Police created a world record by making pictures and slogans on 16 thousand 700 drawing sheets from the students about drug addiction.
Burhanpur Police set a world record by writing and signing anti-drug message together by more than 32 thousand students of 113 schools .
At the same time, Balaghat Police set a new record of public awareness by taking drug free oath to about 1 lakh 25 thousand students of 1,204 schools and online participation of more than 5 lakh citizens , for which it was awarded with Certificate of Excellence . These five world records have not only given national but also international recognition to the “Nashe Se Dastri Hai Mazhoori 2.0” campaign and established the public participation style of the Madhya Pradesh Police on the global stage.
- Unprecedented participation of administration , public representatives and society
In addition to the Superintendent of Police, District Collectors , District CEOs , CMHOs , Correctional Officers and Social Justice Department officials also played a collaborative role in the campaign. Many MLAs , Municipal Corporation and Panchayat representatives supported the campaign by attending various programs themselves.
- A historic mass movement in the direction of drug free Madhya Pradesh
” Nashe Se Dastri Hai Mazhoori 2.0″ was not just an awareness campaign , but it emerged as a broad mass movement developed with the participation of every section of the society. Lakhs of citizens , students , youth , women , public representatives , social organizations and non-governmental organizations across the region have resolved to create a drug-free society. Madhya Pradesh Police will continuously strive to make the society safe , healthy and drug free through such campaigns based on public participation in the future as well .
