Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Ujjain is not just a city, it is the holy city of Lord Shri Mahakal. The 84 Mahadevs here are living symbols of faith, sadhana and Sanatan tradition. Darshan Yatra will become a means of bringing our cultural heritage to the masses. For the devotees, this journey is also a pious occasion for spiritual awakening along with faith. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing through video conferencing at the launch of Shri 84 Mahadev Darshan Yatra-2026 organized in Ujjain on Sunday. The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to all the pilgrims going for darshan.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our Indian culture gives the message of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam and Surve Bhavantu Sukhin. Lord Shiva is the symbol of harmony, compassion and public welfare. India’s spiritual power is attracting the whole world today . This journey is a campaign to advance our sacred spiritual consciousness. The Chief Minister said that the circumambulation of 84 Mahadevs is an ancient and sacred tradition of Shiv Bhakti. This journey conveys the message of faith, patience and spiritual discipline. Each temple is a witness to the glorious history and culture of Ujjain. This event is a strong effort to connect the new generation with its roots.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that such events are rare. Red chunri, saree, rudraksha ki mala, bilvapatra plant are being gifted by the organizing organization to all the matrashakti involved in Shri 84 Mahadev Darshan Yatra. Famous bhajan singer Mr. Manish Tiwari’s bhajan troupe is also running along with the yatra. He said that everyone’s faith towards Lord Shiva on the auspicious occasion of Sawan month is commendable. This trip will promote the propagation of our culture, strengthen religious tourism and strengthen our social harmony. He said that pilgrimages are not only faith, but also the strength of the local economy. This will benefit hotels, transport, handicrafts and small traders. The state government is developing better facilities at the pilgrimage sites. Our goal is to make Ujjain a world-class spiritual tourism hub.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the devotees coming to Ujjain should have an easy and safe darshan experience, that is our priority. The administration and the society will make this event successful with public participation. The Chief Minister said that society connected with culture makes a strong and confident nation. Therefore, our youth should also connect with their culture, pilgrimage and traditions. Because our identity is made from our civilization and culture. This journey will inspire service, discipline and patriotism among the youth.
