The Madhya Pradesh Junior Men’s Hockey Team has made the state proud by entering the finals of the 16th Hockey India Junior Men’s National Championship-2026 with an outstanding performance. In the second semi-final match played in Coimbatore, Madhya Pradesh secured their place in the title match by defeating strong rivals Hockey Jharkhand 2-0. This performance by the team was a great example of discipline, strategy and fighting game by the players.

From the start of the match, it was a thorny clash between the two teams. Both teams failed to score in the first three quarters. However, in the decisive final quarter, Madhya Pradesh showed their aggressiveness and changed the course of the match completely by applying constant pressure.
In the 56th minute, Rajvir Singh scored a brilliant field goal to open Madhya Pradesh’s account and give the team a significant lead. After this, Ashir Adil Khan scored the second goal in the 58th minute to put an end to Jharkhand’s comeback hopes. Madhya Pradesh maintained a 2-0 lead till the allotted time and entered the final with a resounding victory.
