Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Chhattisgarh State Information Commission. Chief Information Commissioner of the State Information Commission, Mr. Amitabh Jain, hoisted the flag. On this occasion, he paid homage to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, by garlanding his photograph. He extended Independence Day greetings and best wishes to all officers and employees.
Chief Information Commissioner Mr. Amitabh Jain said that the struggle for independence was long and arduous, in which many freedom fighters sacrificed their lives. This day reminds us of the sacrifice and struggle of our brave martyrs. Many great freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, and Subhash Chandra Bose sacrificed their lives to achieve our independence. On this day in 1947, India was liberated from nearly 200 years of British colonial rule and emerged as a sovereign nation.
On this occasion, State Information Commission Commissioners Mr. Alok Chandravanshi, Mr. Umesh Agrawal, Mr. Shirish Chandra Mishra, Secretary Mr. Neelam Namdev Ekka, Deputy Secretary Mrs. Abha Tiwari and all officers and employees were present.
