- Construction of roads and drains in Korba wards gains momentum, 31 development works approved
- Minister Shri Dewangan’s proposal for construction of roads and drains in the city wards approved
Under the dynamic leadership of State Cabinet Minister and Korba MLA Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan, with a commitment to strengthen basic amenities in Korba city, approval for 31 development works has been received from the District Mineral Fund (DMF). Under the approved works, essential basic development works, including the construction of concrete roads and drains, will be carried out in various wards of the Municipal Corporation area. These works will facilitate transportation within the wards and neighborhoods and alleviate water drainage problems during the rainy season.
Minister Shri Dewangan is continuously making efforts to address the needs of citizens in Korba city, as well as road, drain, and other infrastructure projects within the wards and neighborhoods. In this regard, approval orders for 31 works totaling ₹5.44 crore have been issued from the DMF. It is noteworthy that recently, under the 15th Finance Head, approval of Rs 25.95 crore has been received for 100 infrastructure works, Rs 7.52 crore for 15 drinking water related works and Rs 1.79 crore for solid waste management works in Korba Municipal Corporation area.
Minister Shri Dewangan has directed the Municipal Corporation officials to complete the tender process of all the approved works soon and start the construction work, so that the citizens can get the benefit of these development works as soon as possible.

in ward number 05, construction of drain from Lovely Care School to Kali Mandir Chowk and in front of Sanjay Jaiswal’s house costing Rs 20 lakhs, construction of CC road and covered drain from Phal Wala Mishra Ji’s house to the tower in Sanjay Nagar under ward number 11 costing Rs 15 lakhs, construction of CC road and drain in Moti Sagar Para Gayatri Vihar Basti costing Rs 10 lakhs, construction of drain on CC road in Wireless Office Sushil Das, Birjesh, Kuldeep Yadav Gali under ward number 9 costing Rs 20 lakhs, construction of CC road from Imli Duggu Manbodh Tande’s house to Rahul Shukla’s house under ward number 10 costing Rs 20 lakhs, construction of CC road from Rani Dhanraj Kumar Vishwas Kendra to Sajan Agarwal’s house in Naya Basti under ward number 12 costing Rs 10 lakhs, construction of CC road and drain from Jarif Ahmed’s house to Ajlu’s house and from Shiv Mandir to Ajay Sahis’s house in Ward number 7 in Manjhi Mohalla. CC road and drain construction work costing Rs 19.50 lakh, CC road from LIG 51 to Atal Awas Navdha Pandal and from MIG 25 to MIG 41 under ward number 14 and drain construction work from Atal Awas Annapurna Shwas Ghar to drain costing Rs 15 lakh, CC road construction work from Jharnapaara to Sub Health Center under ward number 15 costing Rs 15 lakh, RCC drain construction work costing Rs 12 lakh in DM Road Tulsi Marg under ward number three, CC road construction work costing Rs 15 lakh in Jhopdi Para Ram Mandir Gali and Manch Gali under ward number 16 Pump House.
Similarly, in ward number 16, the construction of drain from Pump House Jhopdi Para community building to siphon cost Rs 25 lakhs. In ward number 18 Kohadia, the construction of CC road and drain cost Rs 30 lakhs in Saraipara Basti and other various places. In ward number 17 Dhodhipara Bhaiskhatal, the construction of CC road and drain from Soni house to Vijay Sahu house and from Kotwar to Sukrit Sahis house and from Ram Avtar house to canal cost Rs 25 lakhs. In ward number three, the construction of CC road and drain from Tulsi Nagar Hanuman temple to Chauhan Mohalla via Madrasa cost Rs 15 lakhs. In ward number 65, the construction of CC road and drain from Bherotaal Prem Nagar main road to community building to Pappu Patel house and Ved Prakash Patel house cost Rs 20 lakhs.
