The nation’s 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, zeal, and a spirit of patriotism at Adani Power Limited (APL), Chhote Bhandar. A large number of plant officials, employees, their families, and local villagers attended the event.
The program commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the Chief Business Officer (CBO) and the Project Head. In his address, the CBO highlighted the energy sector’s role in nation-building and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to a safe work culture, reliable power generation, and the development of the local community.

Sharing updates on the 2×800 MW project, the Project Head outlined the various CSR and community development initiatives being implemented in the region. He stated that Adani Power is continuously working towards the development of local communities and the empowerment of the youth. Subsequently, 26 employees from the security department were honored for their outstanding service, discipline, and dedication to duty. Additionally, ‘Spot Recognition Awards’ were presented to 19 high-performing employees at the plant.
- Captivating Cultural Performances

The colorful cultural programs organized during the ceremony infused the atmosphere with a patriotic spirit. Trainees from the Adani Skill Development Center (ASDC) and the tailoring center delivered engaging performances set to patriotic songs.
Students from the Amlibhauna and Kotmara primary schools captivated the audience with enchanting dance performances set to patriotic music. Meanwhile, members of the Adani Power Green Harmony Ladies Club showcased India’s cultural diversity through presentations of folk culture and traditional dances from various states.

Children of the plant’s employees made the event special with their patriotic songs, poetry recitations, and musical performances. Their presentations were highly appreciated by the audience.
At the conclusion of the program, the CBO and Project Head encouraged the participants by presenting gifts to the children, trainees, and members of the Ladies Club. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of sweets.
