- Emphasis on uniformity in uniforms , mess management and other arrangements in Eklavya schools
The meeting of the Board of Directors of the Tribal Welfare Residential and Ashram Educational Institution Committee was held today in the meeting hall of TRTI located in Nava Raipur under the chairmanship of Tribal Development Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam. The operation of Eklavya Model Residential Schools, educational quality and the facilities being provided to the students were reviewed in the meeting. On this occasion, Minister Shri Netam also released the book Gumnaam Jananayak published by TRTI. During this, he also honored Ms. Ambika Dhruv, who was working as a daily wage earner at the Martyr Veernarayan Singh Tribal Freedom Fighter Saha Memorial, on being selected as a Nagar Sainik.

Minister Shri Netam stressed the need to ensure uniformity in uniforms, mess operations, food arrangements, and other essential facilities in Eklavya schools. He directed that a better educational environment and quality facilities be provided to the students.
In the meeting, consensus was also reached on providing re-opportunity to former guest teachers of Eklavya schools who have the qualifications as per the recruitment rules of NESTS and the state government.
The meeting was informed that 75 Eklavya Model Residential Schools are currently operating in Chhattisgarh. Information was also provided about the achievements of the state’s students in the fourth National Sports Competition of Eklavya Schools.

466 students from Chhattisgarh participated in the competition held in Sundargarh, Odisha, in November 2025, and the state secured second place at the national level. The athletes earned a total of 126 medals, including 55 gold medals. Minister Shri Netam praised the students, coaches, and officials for this achievement.
On this occasion, Secretary of the Department Mr. Bhuvnesh Yadav, Commissioner Mr. Rahul Venkat, Director of TRTI Mrs. Hina Animesh Netam, members of the Board of Directors and departmental officers were present.
