- Athletes won 4 medals including 2 silver in National ITF Triathlon Championships
Athletes of Madhya Pradesh Triathlon Academy brought glory to the region with a brilliant performance in the Under-23 & Senior National ITF Triathlon Championship held at Pune, Maharashtra from 12th to 16th August 2026. Athletes in various age groups achieved many excellent positions with medals won.
- Durvisha and Sargam won silver medals
Durvisha Pawar of Madhya Pradesh won the silver medal in the under-23 women’s category with a brilliant performance. At the same time in open age women’s category, Sargam Bathre secured second position and gave another silver medal to Madhya Pradesh.
- In the senior women’s category, Adhya Singh finished fourth in a tight contest and narrowly missed out on a medal.
- The players who entered the national level for the first time also left an impression
The young athletes of Madhya Pradesh Triathlon Academy also put up an impressive performance in the men’s category. Aman Prajapati secured sixth position and Jaten Ahirwar secured seventh position. This was the first national level competition for both the players. Their performance in this maiden national competition reflects the strong prospects of emerging triathlon talent in the region.
- Also medals in junior and sub-junior competitions
Players from Madhya Pradesh also achieved success in the Junior and Sub-Junior ITF Ranking Championships held in Pune. Kank Shri Dhariwal won the gold medal in the junior category, while Ashmi Kataria won the bronze medal in the sub-junior category.
- Director Mr. Anshuman Yadav congratulated the players
After an excellent performance at the national level, the athletes of Madhya Pradesh Triathlon Academy today met Mr. Anshuman Yadav, Director, Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Madhya Pradesh. Director Shri Yadav congratulated and wished all the players on their achievements. He wished the players a bright future and motivated them for continuous hard work and better performance.

The display of athletes from Madhya Pradesh in Pune reflects the continued expansion of the sport of triathlon in the region and the strong position of emerging sports talent. Medals and excellent positions achieved by sportspersons in various age groups are the result of their hard work, discipline and training. Through the Madhya Pradesh Triathlon Academy, continuous efforts are being made to prepare the athletes for national and international level competitions.
