Amidst the strong current and rising water level of the swollen Chintavagu river in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, the rescue team of the Municipal Corporation (DDRF) rescued an ailing woman Vimala Anganpalli of Guddipal village and her family members by safely crossing the river and taking them to Bijapur District Hospital and saved their lives.

Due to continuous rainfall in Bijapur district, the water level of rivers and streams has risen. As a result, transportation in rural areas has been disrupted, the district administration and relief and rescue teams are actively engaged in helping the villagers. Under the sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and the guidance of Forest and District In-charge Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, the administration is paying special attention to providing safe transportation and necessary assistance to the villagers in difficult conditions. In this context, the increased water flow in the Chintavagu River near the village of Chinnakavali in Bijapur tehsil made it difficult for the villagers to cross the river. Seeing the situation, the Municipal Army team reached the spot and helped the villagers cross the river safely via boat.

Amidst the strong currents of the Chintavagu River, the City Army personnel operated the boat with utmost care and caution. The team gave priority to the unwell persons and brought them safely to the other side of the river. This helped the villagers to access essential health services and treatment. The promptness and service of the City Army personnel brought great relief to the villagers amidst the rain. In difficult conditions, the soldiers helped the villagers by prioritizing their safety.
