The initiative by the ‘World Audio Book Team Chhattisgarh’ to deliver education to visually impaired students through technology is commendable and worthy of emulation.

  • World Audio Book Team honored for remarkable contribution

Members of the ‘World Audio Book Team Chhattisgarh’ paid a courtesy visit to Governor Shri Deka at Lok Bhavan today. On this occasion, the Governor honored all team members with certificates of appreciation for their outstanding contribution. He congratulated and extended his best wishes to the members on their achievement being recorded in the Golden Book of World Records.

  • Sharda has created over 1,800 audiobooks

The World Audio Book Team is working towards creating more than 11,000 audiobooks for both visually impaired and general students. This innovative campaign was launched on October 5, 2024, under the leadership of Ms. K. Sharda, a teacher honored by the President. Ms. Sharda has personally created over 1,800 audiobooks to date. Under her leadership, 30 teachers from various districts of Chhattisgarh are contributing to this initiative alongside their regular academic duties.

  • Equal opportunities to make visually impaired students self-reliant

The Governor remarked that the benefits of education must reach every section of society. Providing study material through audio formats for visually impaired students is a significant step towards making them self-reliant and ensuring equal educational opportunities. He emphasized the need to expand such efforts further so that the maximum number of visually impaired students can benefit from them. World Audio Book Channel Surpasses 800,000 Views

The World Audio Book channel features over 107 playlists and has garnered more than 800,000 views to date. The team is developing curriculum-based and useful study materials for students. All members of the World Audio Book team, including Dr. Sonal Rajesh Sharma—the Chhattisgarh Head of the Golden Book of World Records—were present on this occasion.
