Cabinet Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan attended the ‘Diksharambh’ (induction) ceremony held at Government Minimata Girls’ College, Korba, as the chief guest. He welcomed the newly admitted students under the National Education Policy-2020, and education kits were distributed to approximately 1,500 students of the college through CSR funds. Mayor Smt. Sanju Devi Rajput attended the event as the special guest of honor, while Collector Shri Kunal Dudawat was present as a special guest.
- Large domes to be built in other government colleges too
Emphasizing infrastructural development in the education sector, Minister Shri Dewangan stated that a large dome would be constructed at Minimata Girls’ College using DMF funds.
- GYAN at the core of the development model
Minister Shri Dewangan remarked that the youth play a pivotal role in Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) and Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai’s resolve to create a developed Chhattisgarh by 2047. The state’s development model is centered on ‘GYAN’ (Garib/Poor, Yuva/Youth, Annadata/Farmers, and Nari/Women). Due to the effective implementation of the National Education Policy-2020, the state’s Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) has risen from 19.6 percent in 2021-22 to 27.5 percent at present.

Mayor Smt. Sanju Devi Rajput described the students as the future of the country and a vital link in a developed India, urging them to reach the pinnacle of success through persistent hard work and perseverance.
- Education is the top priority for DMF – Collector
Korba Collector Shri Kunal Dudawat clarified that special priority is being accorded to education within the works undertaken through DMF funds in the district. He stated that students from the district would be provided financial assistance for higher studies at any government college in the country. A large number of local councilors, the college principal (Mrs. Papiya Chaturvedi), faculty members, and public representatives were present on the occasion.
