- Villagers take a collective pledge for the cleanliness and conservation of water sources; call made to transform water conservation into a mass movement through public participation.
Under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Service Pledge Campaign) being conducted in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district—and guided by Collector Shri Vijay Dayaram K.—a special cleanliness drive and awareness program regarding water sources was organized today around the Jogi Dongri Reservoir. Officials and staff from the Water Resources Department, Public Health Engineering Department, and Panchayat Department, along with a large number of villagers, participated enthusiastically in the event.
During the campaign, a special cleanliness drive was carried out within the Jogi Dongri Reservoir premises and the surrounding areas. Waste and other refuse scattered around the reservoir were cleared away. The cleanliness drive served to convey a message of collective responsibility regarding the conservation of water sources and keeping them free from pollution.
During the program, villagers were sensitized about keeping water sources clean and safe, preventing water wastage, and using available water judiciously. Highlighting the importance of water conservation, an appeal was made to the villagers to actively participate in the regular cleaning and maintenance of their village ponds, reservoirs, wells, and other traditional water sources.

The program conveyed the message that the cleanliness and conservation of water sources is not solely the responsibility of government departments but is a collective responsibility of every citizen. Villagers were encouraged to make continuous efforts towards conserving and optimally utilizing water, in addition to keeping local water sources clean.

Through the program, the message “If there is water, there is a future” was conveyed to the masses, and a call was made for widespread public participation in the conservation and cleanliness of water sources, as well as the prudent use of water. The ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Service Pledge Campaign) served to convey the message of transforming water conservation from an initiative involving public participation into a true mass movement.
