- Deputy Chief Minister issues directives to make the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ successful through public participation

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in-charge of Korba district, Shri Arun Sao, reviewed the activities and upcoming programs under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ at the Korba district headquarters today. While finalizing the outline, dates, and venues for the proposed activities, he directed that all programs be organized with extensive public participation. He stated that coordinated efforts by the government, administration, and the general public are essential to make this month-long campaign meaningful, effective, and people-oriented. He instructed all concerned officials to ensure the smooth and timely implementation of programs through mutual coordination. Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan and MLA Shri Premchand Patel also attended the meeting.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao congratulated the district administration on the successful organization of the ‘Aashirwad Ke Diya’ (Lamp of Blessings) program held on September 17 as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’. He remarked that the enthusiasm for public participation witnessed through the lighting of lamps in every household was a significant achievement of the campaign. He noted that under the ‘Mere Sapno Ka Bharat’ (India of My Dreams) program, students expressed their thoughts and visions for the country through painting and speeches. He directed that all future programs be organized in a festive spirit, maintaining the same level of enthusiasm and participation.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao issued directives to prepare a schedule-wise action plan, finalize program outlines, and identify venues in a timely manner for the remaining programs of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’. He asked the concerned officials to provide prior information regarding the dates, nature, and venues of the programs to public representatives and to ensure the timely organization of all activities in accordance with the set plan. He instructed all relevant departments to effectively discharge their responsibilities through mutual coordination to ensure the success of the campaign’s activities. He stated that an enthusiastic atmosphere should be created at every event, and people should be motivated to participate actively. Under the campaign, cleanliness drives at riverbanks, large-scale tree plantation, blood donation, organ donation, and various other public service activities should be organized, transforming cleanliness into a mass movement in both rural and urban areas. Efforts should be made to ensure maximum public participation in these programs and to inspire citizens to pledge their commitment to service, cleanliness, environmental conservation, and humanity.
Shri Sao stated that the positive changes in the lives of beneficiaries—resulting from public welfare schemes run by the Central and State governments—should be compiled as “Stories of Service” and shared with the public. He noted that these inspiring stories of real transformation in people’s lives would make the campaign even more effective.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao remarked that the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Service Pledge Campaign) is an effective medium for taking government schemes and public welfare initiatives to the common people. He emphasized the need to ensure that people are informed about government schemes and can access their benefits. He directed officials to ensure widespread publicity for upcoming programs in both rural and urban areas using public announcements, banners, posters, and other promotional channels. He further instructed that the spirit of public service and public participation be strengthened in every activity of the campaign, making it successful and meaningful by involving as many people as possible.

Labour Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan directed officials at the meeting to ensure the timely and well-organized conduct of all programs scheduled under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’. He stated that the campaign’s activities should reach everyone—from district headquarters to all urban bodies and rural areas—thereby engaging the maximum number of people, and emphasized that public participation should be prioritized in every program. He directed the concerned departments to work in coordination and ensure the active participation of all sections of society—including public representatives, social and voluntary organizations, educational institutions, self-help groups, youth, women, and senior citizens—so that the campaign could be made effective and successful, driven by a spirit of public service.
Korba Zila Panchayat President Dr. Pawan Singh, Shri Gopal Modi, Collector Shri Kunal Dudawat, Superintendent of Police Shri Siddharth Tiwari, Zila Panchayat CEO Shri Prateek Jain, DFO Katghora Shri Jitendra Upadhyay, and Municipal Commissioner Shri Ashutosh Pandey were also present at the review meeting.
