- An All-India Poets’ Meet (Kavi Sammelan) was organized on
at the SECL Headquarters auditorium as part of the Official Language Fortnight 2026. Held under the guidance of SECL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Shri Harish Duhan, this literary evening featured renowned poets from across the country who showcased a unique blend of humor, satire, lyrical poetry, and spirited verses through their compositions.
The event was graced by the presence of Director (Personnel) Shri Biranchi Das, Director (Finance) Shri D. Sunil Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Himanshu Jain, Director (Technical) – Operations Shri Ramesh Chandra Mahapatra, Director (Technical) – Planning & Projects (Additional Charge) Shri Nripendra Nath, and Vice-Presidents of Shraddha Mahila Mandal Smt. Ipsita Das and Smt. Vinita Jain. Also present were members of the SECL Steering Committee, Welfare Board, and Safety Committee, along with representatives from CMOAI, SISTA, OBC groups, and various trade unions, as well as Heads of Departments, officers, and employees.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the offering of flowers before the portrait of Goddess Saraswati. Welcoming the poets, Director (Personnel) Shri Biranchi Das remarked that this poets’ meet, organized as part of the Official Language Fortnight, is a significant initiative towards promoting the Hindi language and literature. He noted that poets play a vital role in guiding society and conveying positive messages through their creative works.
Renowned poets from various parts of the country captivated the audience until late into the night with their magnificent performances. Renowned poetess and lyricist Dr. Sarita Sharma gave voice to themes of life, relationships, and human emotions through her soulful lyrical performances. Humorous poet and folk singer Shri Jagveer Rathi brought waves of laughter to the auditorium with his folk style and witty demeanor. Veteran humorist and satirist Shri Sudeep Bhola offered lighthearted yet sharp critiques of social conditions through his incisive satirical verses.
Renowned poet of heroic and spirited verse, Shri Ashok Charan, infused the atmosphere with energy and enthusiasm through his stirring poems. Young poet and lyricist Shri Swayam Srivastava deeply moved the audience with his sensitive and lyrical presentations. Popular humorist and satirist Shri Shambhu Shikhar delighted the audience with his engaging stage presence and humorous performances. Poetess Dr. Tishya Shree added a touch of literary sweetness with her melodious poems celebrating love and romance, while young humorist and satirist Shri Hiramani Vaishnav thoroughly entertained the listeners with his unique style of comedy.
The poets’ diverse presentations showcased a rich tapestry of humor, satire, lyrical poetry, romantic verse, and heroic sentiments. Throughout the event, the auditorium resonated with thunderous applause as the audience enthusiastically enjoyed the performances.
