- An amount of Rs 182 crore has been allocated to Chhattisgarh.
Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam attended the National Agriculture Conference held in New Delhi today. Held on September 28th and 29th, the conference was attended by agriculture ministers, agricultural scientists, agricultural sector experts, and senior officials from across the country. In the presence of Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Agriculture Minister of the Government of India, and the Minister of State, discussions were held to develop a comprehensive action plan for the upcoming Rabi crop.
At the conference, Agriculture Minister Mr. Netam said that important discussions were held to ensure Chhattisgarh’s improved performance in the agricultural sector and to effectively implement various components of the National Agricultural Development Scheme. Its objective is to extend the benefits of agricultural schemes to as many farmers in Chhattisgarh as possible, reduce the cost of agriculture, and take effective steps to increase farmers’ income.
He informed that during the conference, the Union Agriculture Minister, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, released an allocation of ₹182 crore for Chhattisgarh and provided a letter for the same. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan on behalf of the state’s farmers, he said that this amount will play a crucial role in giving a new impetus to agricultural development in Chhattisgarh.
Agriculture Minister Shri Netam said that this funding will also strengthen the “Developed Resolution Campaign” being run in the state. In addition, in the future, farmers will be encouraged to improve production through the “Save the Farm Campaign.” This assistance will also be effectively utilized to expand the area under pulses and oilseeds, increase agricultural production, and ensure better yields for farmers.
Minister Shri Netam stated that the Chhattisgarh government is striving to maximize the benefits of the state’s farmers through better coordination of central government schemes and state agricultural policies. Continuous efforts are being made to increase farmers’ income through new technology, lower costs, and improved production in the agricultural sector. He stated that this assistance from the central government will further accelerate agricultural development in Chhattisgarh and help the state achieve better performance in the agricultural sector. He expressed his gratitude to the central government for this.
