Under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva 2026’ campaign and the “October 1 – One Day, One Date, One Hour” initiative, the Raipur Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with Kalinga University, organized a massive cleanliness drive today at the Narhareshwar (Naraiya) Pond located at Siddharth Chowk.


Approximately 90 students from Kalinga University participated enthusiastically in the campaign. Conducting a special cleanup drive in and around the pond, the students collected about 3.5 metric tons of waste. The collected waste was transported via Municipal Corporation vehicles for scientific disposal.


Officials from the Swachh Bharat Mission headquarters and Zone No. 4 of the Raipur Municipal Corporation were present at the event. Mr. Deepak Gupta and Mr. Bala Saidababu represented Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd. Meanwhile, NCC and NSS volunteers from Kalinga University actively participated under the leadership of Dr. Harsha Sharma, the NCC Coordinator.

The objective of this campaign was to ensure the cleanliness of water bodies and public spaces, raise awareness regarding the proper management of plastic and other waste, and inspire citizens to participate in cleanliness activities.


The campaign concluded successfully thanks to the enthusiastic cooperation of all participants and active public involvement. On this occasion, special emphasis was placed on collective efforts to build a clean and healthy Raipur and on the importance of environmental conservation.

The “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign is a significant initiative aimed at building a clean, beautiful, and sustainable city through public participation.
