Health check-up camp organised for sanitation workers under Swachhta Pakhwada

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research-National Institute for Biotic Stress Management (ICAR-NIBSM), Raipur, organized a health check-up camp for sanitation workers employed at the institute as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada. The program aimed to raise awareness about sanitation workers’ health and highlight the importance of regular health check-ups.

During the camp, all the sanitation workers at the institute underwent a primary health checkup. This included blood pressure and blood sugar checks, as well as inquiring about their general health, pre-existing illnesses, and other health-related problems. They were provided with necessary health advice and encouraged to identify diseases early, practice regular checkups, maintain a balanced diet, and adopt a healthy lifestyle.

On this occasion, the Institute’s Director, Dr. P.K. Rai, addressed the sanitation workers, stating that regular health checkups are crucial for a healthy life. Periodic health checkups can identify potential diseases at an early stage, and timely treatment and precautions can prevent serious health problems.

Scientists and other officers and staff from the Directorate also participated in the program. The program was conducted by Dr. Priyanka Meena, Scientist. Through the camp, the message of cleanliness, health, safety, and the importance of a healthy workplace was conveyed during the Swachhta Pakhwada.
