- Road construction completed at a cost of Rs 1.70 crore under the Chief Minister’s Village Road Scheme.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, continuous efforts are being made to strengthen road connectivity and facilitate transportation in the rural areas of Jashpur district. In this regard, the construction of the Banmunda to Lakraghara road in the Farsabahar tehsil area has been completed. Built at a cost of approximately ₹17 million under the Chief Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana, this road has fulfilled the long-standing demand of the villagers for a paved road.
The new road has not only facilitated daily commuting for the villagers, but has also made access to education, health, markets, and other essential services more convenient. The road construction has also strengthened connectivity between villages, directly benefiting students, farmers, laborers, and local villagers.
- Relief from mud and waterlogging during the rainy season:
The Banmunda-Lakraghara road is an important daily route for villagers in the area. Due to the lack of a paved road, commuting during the rainy season was challenging. Mud and waterlogging made movement of vehicles, including two-wheelers, difficult. This affected students, farmers, laborers, and villagers traveling for daily essential tasks.
With the completion of the road construction, villagers have now found relief from these problems. Improved road connectivity has facilitated inter-village travel and increased access to schools, health facilities, markets, and other essential services.
- Villagers happy as their long pending demand gets fulfilled
Villagers of the area have expressed their happiness on completion of construction of Banmunda-Lakraghara road and have thanked Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai. Villagers say that construction of paved road has brought great relief from the problems faced in commuting especially during rainy days.
Villagers said that with the construction of the road, connectivity between villages has become stronger and convenience of commuting for daily needs has increased. Better road connectivity will play an important role in development of the area as well as making the daily life of the villagers more comfortable.
