TT Minister of Cooperation , Sports and Youth Welfare of Madhya Pradesh Mr. Vishwas Sarang met the star players of the state Ashi Chowkse and Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar who returned after winning medals in the Asian Games-2026 at Nagar Stadium on Thursday and cheered them on. Both the athletes have brought glory to the country and Madhya Pradesh by winning silver medals in shooting.
Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy player Ashi Chowkse won the silver medal in the women’s 50m rifle 3 position team event , while Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar bagged the silver medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3 position team event.
Appreciating the achievements of the sportspersons, Minister Shri Sarang said that the sportspersons of Madhya Pradesh have performed brilliantly in the Asian Games. Players from the region have won a total of eight medals in the competition. He said that players like Aishwarya and Ashi are a source of inspiration for the new sports talents of the region.
- It is important to think of doing better even after the achievements
Minister Shri Sarang said that Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar saying that he still has to improve shows the positive mindset of a player . He said that big players are not satisfied with their achievements , but constantly aim for better performance. He hoped that Aashi and Aishwarya would win medals for the country at the Olympic level in the future.
- The players will be honored

Minister Shri Sarang said that the sportspersons have been given a symbolic welcome today. A grand felicitation ceremony and incentive program will be organized by the State Government for the medal winning sportspersons. Along with this, a media interaction will also be organized to share the experiences of the players.
- Grooming of talents starts from 6 to 12 years of age
Minister Shri Sarang said that feeder centers for various sports are being established in the region in order to prepare sports talents from an early age. Minister Shri Sarang said that in these centers children between 6 to 12 years of age will be selected and their talent will be developed from the initial level. After this, the talented players above 12 years of age will be added to sports academies.
Minister Shri Sarang said that admission to sports academies is being given through talent search and the academies are being run according to world class standards.
- Emphasis will also be on technology and sports medicine
Minister Shri Sarang directed the officials to communicate with the players and coaches separately to know their needs and suggestions. Based on these suggestions, the sports ecosystem of the region will be further strengthened.
Minister Shri Sarang said that the use of modern technology , sports science and sports medicine will be increased in the training of sportspersons. The government’s objective is to develop such a strong sports system in the region , so that talent can be identified from the grassroots level and taken to the national and international level.
