Chhattisgarh on the path of industrial revolution under the leadership of Vishnudev Sai: Amit Chimnani

Bharatiya Janata Party’s state spokesperson Amit Chimnani has said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Chhattisgarh has entered a golden era of industrial development, global investment and employment generation. Mr. Chimnani said that it is the result of the state government’s transparent policies, easy ‘ease of doing business’ and strong will that today Chhattisgarh is emerging as the first choice of domestic as well as international investors. Mr. Chimnani was addressing an important press conference called at the BJP office located in Ekatm Complex here on Saturday.

  • Historic Investment and Rapid Implementation

BJP state spokesperson Mr. Chimanani stated that to accelerate industrial expansion in the state, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed for 280 projects, involving investments totaling approximately ₹8 lakh crore. The process of allocating land to investors for 55 percent of these 280 projects has either been completed or is underway, a testament to the government’s swift action.

  • Large scale employment for local youth

Once all investment proposals and projects are fully established, it is estimated that more than 1.6 lakh new direct and indirect jobs will be created in the state. Projects where construction and production work has already begun have already provided employment to thousands of local youth.

  • Financial incentives and relief to industrial units

Citing statistics, BJP State Spokesperson Mr. Chimanani stated that under the Industrial Policy, a total of ₹1,594.97 crore in capital and interest subsidies has been distributed to 6,310 industrial units in the state between 2023 and 2026. Additionally, 3,503 units in the state have directly benefited from special exemptions on stamp duty and electricity charges. Thus, a large number of local skilled and unskilled workforces have been employed through over 9,800 benefiting units.

  • Chief Minister’s Singapore visit: Chhattisgarh on the global stage

BJP State Spokesperson Mr. Chimnani stated that Chhattisgarh and Haryana—only two states in the entire country—were selected to participate in the prestigious ‘SING Forum’ organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, marking a historic achievement for the state. Mr. Chimnani stated that the main objective of the Singapore visit is to attract multinational companies to the state in sectors with high employment potential, such as automobiles, pharmaceuticals, and food processing.

  • The Japan tour has yielded positive results on the ground.

BJP State Spokesperson Mr. Chimanani stated that Chief Minister Mr. Sai’s previous visit to Japan proved extremely fruitful. Following continued dialogue with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), a high-level JETRO team visited Chhattisgarh in July. The Japanese delegation inspected the world-class infrastructure of the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC), Pharma Park, Readymade Garments Park, and Textile Park. JETRO has prominently showcased Chhattisgarh’s industrial opportunities on its official global website and is in constant dialogue with Japanese investors through video conferencing.

BJP state spokesperson Mr. Chimanani said that the state government’s goal is not just to set up factories, but to make Chhattisgarh a self-reliant, prosperous, and globally competitive manufacturing hub, which will directly benefit the youth and farmers here. BJP state media co-ordinator Rahul Rai and media panelist Nishikant Pandey were present at the press conference.
