- The Minister in charge was impressed by the talent of the blind children and announced a grant of Rs 1 lakh to the organization.
Under the powerful MCB-Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, continuous initiatives are being taken in the district towards ensuring public service, sensitivity and access to facilities to the needy. In this sequence, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the district in-charge and Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam made a surprise inspection of the MCB District Blind and Disabled Education-Training School located in Manendragarh. He took stock of the school’s arrangements and after having a cordial conversation with the disabled children, inquired about their education, food, residential facilities and available resources.
Impressed by the children’s talent, confidence, and enthusiasm, the Minister in charge announced a grant of one lakh rupees to support the organization’s operations and necessary arrangements. He also presented the children with a sound system box and fruits and flowers. He also gave instructions to improve the organization’s essential basic facilities.

On this occasion, Municipal Council Manendragarh President Smt. Pratima Yadav, Vice President Dharmendra Patwa, Collector Smt. Santan Devi Jangde, Superintendent of Police Ratna Singh, District Panchayat CEO Ankita Som, former Parliamentary Secretary Smt. Champadevi Pawale, SDM Lingaraj Sidar, Tehsildar Shruti Dhurve, District Organization Incharge MCB Babulal Agarwal, Sanskar Agarwal, Principal Santosh Chadhokar, Teachers Rakesh Gupta, Gopal Tiwari, Ramnath, Ramnarayan along with public representatives and officials were present.
- Upon arrival at the school, the blind children presented a welcome song and
welcomed all the guests, including the Minister in charge. The children enthralled everyone with a musical recitation of the Ramayana and a couplet from the Sundarkand. They also showcased their special talents by imitating the sounds of various animals. The guests, impressed by the children’s talent, expressed their appreciation for their confidence, discipline, and ingenuity.

He expressed his deepest joy at the opportunity to meet, sit, and discuss with the children. He expressed his deepest gratitude for the children’s talent, self-confidence, and determination to excel.
- Principal apprised the minister about the problems of the institution.

School principal Santosh Chadhokar informed the minister in charge about the current needs and problems of the institution. He told that the institution is facing financial difficulties in running it. Referring to the financial problem arising due to technical reasons, he appealed for an increase in the salary of the teachers working in the institution.
The principal told that the institution currently receives only Rs. 600 for the maintenance of the children, due to which there is difficulty in arranging for maintenance. He also requested for an increase in this amount.
- The Minister in charge gathered information about the children’s education, food, and Braille.
The Minister in charge gathered detailed information about the number of children studying at the school and their background. He asked which districts the children were coming from and what kind of education and training they were receiving. He directly inquired about the food arrangements from the children and also obtained information about their studies from the teachers.
The teachers informed him that the children were being taught through Braille. The Minister spoke with the children, understood their studies and interests, and observed the school’s arrangements.
He instructed District Panchayat CEO Ankita Som to regularly inspect the school and continuously monitor the arrangements, so that the children’s needs could be addressed in a timely manner.

Addressing the children, Minister in charge Ramvichar Netam said that through their hard work and dedication, they have proven that they are second to none. They have showcased their talents in various fields, including academics, culture, music, and knowledge of the Ramayana and Mahabharata.
He said that he and everyone present were deeply impressed by the beautiful way in which the children presented the Ramayana with music. The children’s presentation reflected their talent, confidence, and an incredible desire to learn.
He prayed to God that all the children remain healthy and happy and reach the heights they aspire to in life. May their dreams be big, and may their courage always remain strong to fulfill them.
- Instructions to improve basic facilities
The Minister in charge, while assuring to resolve the problems of the institution, said that whatever basic requirements are there in the institution will be improved. He said to pay special attention to other essential facilities including toilets, drinking water, beds. Along with this, instructions were given to increase the necessary resources and arrangements of the institution.
He said that the objective of the Shakti MCB-Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is to provide facilities to the needy with service and sensitivity. Understanding the needs of disabled children and providing them better opportunities is also a part of this service spirit.

The Minister in charge, while praising the musical talent of the children, said that their talent should not be limited to the institution only. Children have a special art of music and singing. For this, a good program team can be prepared, through which they can showcase their talent on big stages.
He said that the art and voice of the children have so much potential that they can make their mark on a big level in the future. He said that this talent of the children needs to be promoted by making it their strength. The passion, enthusiasm and desire to achieve something that is within them, should be taken forward together.
