For the women of Limha village in Bilaspur, access to tap water at their homes has brought great relief. Previously, it took a lot of time and effort to procure drinking water for their families. Now, with the Jal Jeevan Mission providing them with pure drinking water at home, their daily routine has become easier. They can now devote the time spent fetching water to caring for their children, family, and other important tasks.
Women in Limha explained that they previously had to travel long distances to fetch drinking water. This problem was exacerbated during the summer. Arranging water and bringing it home would consume a significant portion of the day. Along with household chores, securing water for the family’s needs was a major daily responsibility.

This situation has changed since the Jal Jeevan Mission brought tap water to homes. Now, with clean water available at home, the hassle of traveling far to fetch water has largely been eliminated. Women say this not only saves them time but also reduces their daily labor. Arranging water for cooking, cleaning, and other household tasks has now become easier.
In Limha, home-delivered drinking water has brought convenience and relief to rural families. This change is especially significant for women. With less worry about collecting water, they are able to focus more on family care and other tasks. Rural women expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai for providing drinking water to every household. They said that the Jal Jeevan Mission has alleviated a major daily problem for them.
