- On the first day, players will be registered, documented, physically fit and medically examined. On October 1, the players’ athletic skills will be tested.
On the first day of the two-day selection trials organised by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department for admission (renewal and new admission) of players in the non-residential football, archery, hockey and athletics academy run in Raipur district, along with registration of players, documents, physical efficiency and medical tests were conducted today. On the second day of the selection trials, tomorrow, October 1, the sports skills of the registered players will be tested.

A total of 144 players have registered for selection in the four non-residential academies. Under the supervision of departmental officials and expert trainers, these players from football, archery, hockey and athletics underwent registration, document verification and medical examination today. The physical fitness test of the players included assessment of various physical activities such as height, weight, vertical jump, 30 meter race, shuttle run, ball throw, 800 meter race and sit-ups.
On the second day of the selection trials tomorrow, October 1, after testing the sports skills of the registered players, the final selection of the players for training in the academies will be done by the selection committee on the basis of their excellent performance.
