A review meeting was held today at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, chaired by Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel, regarding preparations for the upcoming visit of the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, to Chhattisgarh. The Hon’ble President’s visit to Raipur and Jagdalpur (Bastar) is scheduled for October 22–23, 2026.

The Chief Secretary instructed officials to ensure that all arrangements—including security, protocol, accommodation, healthcare facilities, and transportation—comply with established standards during the President’s visit. The Culture Department has been designated as the nodal department for the President’s entire itinerary.

Key events during the visit include proposed engagements at Lok Bhawan, Raipur, and the Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium, Budhapara (Raipur). The Chief Secretary issued necessary directives to the Collectors of Raipur and Bastar divisions regarding all essential arrangements for the visit. Responsibility for security, motorcade operations, and smooth road travel from Swami Vivekananda Airport (Raipur) and Maa Danteshwari Airport (Jagdalpur) to the event venues has been assigned to the respective District Collectors, the Police Commissioner, and the Superintendents of Police. Departmental officials were also given instructions regarding accommodation for the President and accompanying dignitaries, as well as other logistical arrangements. Comprehensive medical facilities, fully equipped and in accordance with Health Department guidelines, will be ensured. During the meeting, officials were issued directives regarding the necessary arrangements at the event venues—specifically concerning the dais (stage), backdrop, uninterrupted power supply (including backup arrangements), sound and lighting systems, and the provision of computers, printers, and internet connectivity in the green rooms, all in accordance with established standards.

The meeting, held via video conference, was attended by General Administration Department Secretary Mr. Avinash Champawat, Culture and Tourism Department Secretary Dr. S. Bharathidasan, Home and Labour Department Secretary Mr. Himshikhar Gupta, and Public Relations Director Mr. Ashish Tikariya.
