Providing quality education, skills, and better employment opportunities to the youth is our priority: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that providing quality education, superior skill training, and employment opportunities aligned with their qualifications to the state’s youth is a priority for the state government. Our endeavor is for the sons and daughters of Chhattisgarh to find better opportunities for education and employment within their own state, to become self-reliant through their skills and talent, and to become active participants in building a developed Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Sai was addressing the youth today at the closing ceremony of the two-day State-Level Job Fair–2026, held at the Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in the capital, Raipur.

On this occasion, he presented offer letters to the selected youths and wished them a bright future. Offer letters were handed over to approximately 1,100 selected youths by the Chief Minister himself.
More than 13,000 youths from across the state participated in the two-day job fair held on October 7 and 8. Following the selection processes conducted by various companies, over 5,000 candidates were finally selected. Youths from all districts of the state, including remote and tribal areas, arrived in large numbers to participate in the selection process for jobs matching their educational qualifications and skills.

Congratulating the selected youths, Chief Minister Shri Sai remarked that this employment opportunity marks a new beginning in their lives. He expressed confidence that the youth would bring glory to their families, the state, and the nation through their hard work, dedication, and talent.

  • Government connecting youth aspirations with opportunities

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the state government is working systematically to connect the youth with employment opportunities. Over the past two and a half years, 925 job fairs have been organized across the state, through which more than 25,845 young people have secured employment. The success of the state-level job fair is set to further accelerate the efforts being made in this direction.

He remarked that in today’s times, alongside formal education, practical skills and training aligned with industry requirements are essential. With this vision, the state government is continuously working to bridge the path from education to skill development and from skills to employment.

Chief Minister Shri Sai noted that facilities for higher and technical education are being continuously expanded in Chhattisgarh. Prestigious national-level institutions such as IIT, IIM, IIIT, AIIMS, and a Law University are operational in the state. Opportunities are also being provided to talented students to prepare for competitive examinations through institutions like ‘Prayas’.

He stated that the government aims to ensure that the youth of the state have access to quality education, modern skills, and ample opportunities for a better future right here in Chhattisgarh. To achieve this, educational and technical institutions are being aligned with the evolving needs of the industry.

  • Over 95 employer organizations offered job opportunities to the youth

More than 95 registered employer organizations, along with other companies, participated in the state-level job fair. Approximately 50 stalls were set up at the venue, where companies from various industrial and service sectors conducted document verification, interviews, and the selection of candidates.

The fair offered employment opportunities to youth possessing diverse educational and vocational qualifications, including ITI, diploma, engineering, and undergraduate degrees. Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), the Department of Technical Education, polytechnics, engineering colleges, and the Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority actively participated in organizing the event alongside the Department of Employment.

A large number of youths trained under skill development programs also participated in the job fair. Thus, the job fair served not merely as a medium for recruitment but also as an effective platform for direct dialogue and coordination among the youth, industries, and educational institutions.

  • E-Employment Portal to Become a ‘Skill Market’

Processes related to candidate registration, application, attendance, and selection at the job fair were managed online via the e-employment portal. This helped make the selection process simpler, more organized, and transparent.

The state government plans to further develop the e-employment portal into a ‘Skill Market.’ This integrated digital platform will host information regarding industry requirements and available vacancies, alongside details of the educational qualifications and skills of job-seeking youth. This will facilitate the youth in finding opportunities suited to their qualifications while enabling industries to access skilled human resources tailored to their needs.

  • Doors to Employment Will Remain Open for Those Who Missed Out Today

Chief Minister Shri Sai also encouraged the youths participating in the job fair who……did not secure employment opportunities this time. He stated that there is no need for them to be disheartened. The state government will continue to create new opportunities for the youth through job fairs, skill development programs, and coordination with industries.

The Chief Minister congratulated the Minister for Technical Education, Skill Development, and Employment, Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb; departmental officials and staff; educational institutions; and representatives of industrial establishments and companies from within and outside the state for the successful organization of the job fair.

Minister Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government is making continuous efforts to provide better employment opportunities for the youth. The government’s objective is not merely to impart training but to link the youth’s skills with actual opportunities for employment and livelihood.

He remarked that the extensive participation of youth from across the state in the job fair reflects their enthusiasm and aspirations for a better future. Youth are being trained and made employable in alignment with the current requirements of industries.

  • Release of Evaluation Report for Improving Quality in Polytechnic Institutions

During the event, in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, a third-party evaluation report prepared by the Quality Council of India was released. This report aims to improve the quality of education and training in the state’s polytechnic colleges.

The report assesses the academic standards, training systems, available infrastructure, and potential for quality improvement in polytechnic institutions. Based on the report’s recommendations, an action plan has been formulated for the holistic development of the institutions and the enhancement of training quality. This initiative will assist in aligning technical education with the evolving needs of industries and boosting the employability of students.

Highlighting the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Service Pledge Campaign) on this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai mentioned that various public welfare programs are being organized across the state to commemorate Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service. The job fair, too, is advancing this very spirit of service and public welfare by directly connecting the youth with employment opportunities.

The Chief Minister mentioned that prior to attending the job fair, he participated in the ‘Seva Setu’ program held in Durg, where the 32nd installment of the ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojana’ was released and beneficiaries of various schemes received assistance. He stated that the state government is moving towards building a developed Chhattisgarh by empowering every section of society, including women, youth, farmers, laborers, and the poor.

Cabinet Minister Shri Tankram Verma, Chairperson of the Commission for Protection of Child Rights Smt. Varnika Sharma, Chairperson of the Minorities Commission Shri Amarjit Chhabra, MLAs Shri Sunil Soni and Shri Rohit Sahu, along with other public representatives, representatives from various industrial establishments, departmental officials and staff, and a large number of youths were present on the occasion.
