Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid a courtesy call on Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel at Lok Bhavan on Saturday morning. During the meeting, various contemporary topics were discussed. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed Governor Shri Patel that the state government is celebrating 2026 as the Farmer Welfare Year. The Chief Minister apprised the Governor of the efforts being made to increase farmers’ income and their overall welfare, the Balaram Krishi Mahotsav celebrations, and the progress made so far in the Farmer Welfare Year.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the Madhya Pradesh government will celebrate the coming year (2027) as the Year of Youth. In 2027, the government will make concrete efforts to transform young people from entrepreneurs to industrialists by creating new employment opportunities for the state’s youth, developing their skills, and encouraging start-ups.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed Governor Patel about the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day celebrations on November 1. He stated that the state government has decided to celebrate Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day on November 1 by combining farmer-friendly schemes and works.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed with Governor Shri Patel the programs to be held on November 15th, the birth anniversary of freedom fighter and great tribal leader Bhagwan Birsa Munda (National Tribal Pride Day), and the government’s development policies for the tribal community. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh, including the entire country, will celebrate Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary with great enthusiasm on November 15th. He noted that Madhya Pradesh has the largest tribal population in the country. He added that extensive programs will be organized in the state to mark Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also briefed the Governor on the government’s efforts to encourage investment and innovation in various sectors. Governor Shri Patel commended Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for his efforts for public welfare and industrial development and provided appropriate guidance.
