The Mahtari Vandan Yojana is bringing a golden future to two girls.

  • Gayatri Netam converts financial aid into savings for her daughters’ education and bright future

The government’s public welfare schemes are playing a crucial role in empowering women financially and securing their families’ futures. Gayatri Netam, a resident of Narharpur Awaspara Ward No. 11, who benefited from the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, is an inspiring example. She has utilized the financial assistance provided by the scheme and laid the foundation for a bright future for her two daughters.
Netam explains that with the support of Anganwadi worker Nazima Begum, she applied for the Mahatari Vandan Yojana. Since March 2024, she has been receiving financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month. This amount has proven to be a financial support for her and is helping her meet her family’s needs. Instead of limiting this assistance to current needs, Gayatri has used this assistance to secure her daughters’ futures. She has opened accounts in the names of both her daughters under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. She regularly saves a portion of the funds she receives from the Mahatari Vandan Yojana for her daughters’ future. Her goal is to have sufficient funds for their education and other needs in the future.
The financial assistance she received from the Mahatari Vandan Yojana has encouraged Gayatri to save. Now, she is preparing to fulfill her daughters’ dreams. Her initiative is an inspiration to other women that a family’s future can be secured by using the assistance received from government schemes in a planned manner. Gayatri Netam expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and the state government, saying that the Mahatari Vandan Yojana has provided her with financial support. Her greatest joy is that today she is laying a strong foundation for a bright future for her two daughters.
