Mayor Meenal Chaubey stated, “No work, no payment.” She emphasized that it is the responsibility of the Ramky company to ensure 100% coverage for door-to-door waste collection; failure to fulfill this obligation will result in strict action.
The capital city must appear clean and tidy ahead of Diwali. The piles of garbage accumulating in various locations are a direct consequence of the failure to carry out door-to-door waste collection, and these must be cleared immediately.
Today, the Mayor of the Raipur Municipal Corporation, Smt. Meenal Chaubey, strongly reprimanded representatives of the contracted sanitation agency, Ramky, over the inadequate state of cleanliness in the capital city, Raipur, ahead of the Diwali festival. The Mayor asserted that it is the responsibility of the Ramky company to execute door-to-door waste collection across the city. Should this responsibility remain unfulfilled, the Municipal Corporation will initiate strict action in accordance with the terms of the contract. The accumulation of garbage piles in several parts of the city prior to Diwali is a result of the ineffective implementation of door-to-door waste collection.

Mayor Smt. Meenal Chaubey issued strict instructions to officials to ensure the immediate removal of all garbage piles. She directed them to continuously monitor the Ramky company’s door-to-door waste collection operations, ensuring high-quality service as a top priority, so that the city remains clean and tidy before Diwali. Any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
Furthermore, Mayor Smt. Meenal Chaubey directed that the “no work, no payment” policy be applied to the Ramky company. She mandated that payments for invoices should only be considered after a physical verification of the work performed, in strict compliance with the established rules. No payments should be made without the completion of work; otherwise, the concerned officials will be held personally responsible.

The review meeting, chaired by Mayor Smt. Meenal Chaubey, was attended by the Municipal Corporation’s Additional Commissioner (Health) Shri Vinod Pandey, Executive Engineer (Swachh Bharat Mission) Shri Yogesh Kumar Kadu, Sub-Engineer Ms. Krishna Rathi, and representatives from the contracted sanitation agency, Ramky—including Area Managers Shri Shrikant, Shri Ganga, and Shri Bhaskar.
