Municipal Corporation Zone 6 has promoted a positive message of cleanliness among the public by clearing waste and debris near Sabun Dabra Pond (Ward 61), in the RDA Colony of Tikrapara (Ward 63), and in the Mahamaya Mandir area (Ward 65).

Under the directives of Raipur Municipal Corporation Mayor Smt. Meenal Chaubey, Health Department Chairperson Smt. Gayatri Chandrakar, and Commissioner Shri Sambit Mishra, health department teams from all zones—guided by their respective Zonal Commissioners and in the presence of Zonal Health Officers—are actively identifying and thoroughly cleaning areas plagued by filth, waste, and debris. As part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ (Cleanliness is Service) campaign—an initiative under the Swachh Bharat Mission—the corporation is developing ‘Cleanliness Targeted Units’ (CTUs) to convey a positive message of hygiene to the citizens of the capital city.

In Zone 6, the health department cleared waste and filth from several locations: near Sabun Dabra Pond in Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Ward (No. 61), the RDA Colony in Tikrapara (within Shaheed Brigadier Usman Ward No. 63), and the Mahamaya Mandir area (Ward No. 65). This effort was carried out under the guidance of Zone 6 Chairperson Shri Badri Prasad Gupta, with the presence of Zonal Commissioner Smt. Priti Singh and Zonal Health Officer Shri Atmanand Sahu, effectively promoting a positive message of cleanliness to the public.

Meanwhile, Zone 8 deployed a special team to address significant filth, waste, and moss accumulation at a ‘Cleanliness Targeted Unit’ (CTU) located at Mahadevghat, Raipur, within the Madhavrao Sapre Ward (No. 69). Through a dedicated cleaning drive, the area was restored to a clean state, further reinforcing a positive message regarding sanitation. As part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ (Cleanliness is Service) campaign, the Health Department of Municipal Corporation Zone 5 carried out a cleanup drive in Ward No. 42. The initiative focused on clearing filth and waste from the Duri Hatri area in Purani Basti, as well as the vicinity of the Jagannath Temple within the same ward. By removing the accumulated waste and restoring cleanliness, the department conveyed a positive message regarding the importance of sanitation.
