- Officials and Staff Receive Hands-on Training in Digital Legislative Processes and Technical Modules
The state government has taken another significant step toward equipping the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly with modern technology, aiming to make its operations fully transparent, accessible, streamlined, and paperless. In line with this objective, a two-day special training program focused on the effective implementation and seamless utilization of the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) has been successfully concluded.
- Objective and Methodology of the Training
The primary goal of this two-day training program was to familiarize the Assembly’s officials and staff with the technical and practical nuances of the NeVA application, thereby fostering a digital culture within legislative functions. This initiative will ensure the enhanced use of Information Technology (IT) in the Assembly’s operations and lead to a significant boost in administrative efficiency.
During the training sessions, Mr. Aman Gautam and Mr. Sridhar Swami—NeVA coordinators from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs (MoPA), Government of India—provided detailed insights into the application’s various technical modules. They offered hands-on training to the participants, specifically covering the operation and usage of the ‘Admin’, ‘Question’, and ‘Committee’ modules.
- Parliamentary Processes to be Conducted Digitally
Participants were trained in several digital workflows, including the submission of legislative questions and notices through digital channels, the online management and secure storage of legislative documents, the rapid exchange of information regarding House proceedings, and the execution of various parliamentary and legislative processes via a unified digital platform. Experts noted that this application will not only simplify and accelerate operations but also significantly enhance the overall effectiveness of work execution. Participation and Future Benefits
Officials and staff from the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, the Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS), and the National Informatics Centre (NIC) participated actively in this significant training program. It is noteworthy that the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) is an ambitious digital initiative by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India. Its objective is to integrate modern information and communication technology into the functioning of all legislative assemblies across the country, transforming them into fully digital, transparent, and paperless institutions.
The effective implementation of NeVA in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly will revolutionize the management of legislative documents and the exchange of information. This initiative will not only enhance the operational efficiency of the Legislative Assembly but will also prove highly beneficial in saving valuable time and paper resources.
