The N-1B Dam, constructed by NMDC in the Kirandul Hills of Dantewada district, has sustained damage due to excessive rainfall, resulting in flood damage to numerous houses. The district administration promptly evacuated affected residents to safe locations.

Water logging near the Gatar bridge and CSC Centre in Kirandul has been addressed with JCB machines deployed to clear the roads.

The administration is also relocating people from low-lying areas to safer places due to the flood situation. Rescue operations are underway, with affected families being accommodated in Mangal Bhawan.

Children caught in the flood while going to tuition classes were rescued and admitted to the hospital, where their condition is stable. The district administration continues to warn residents near flood-affected areas to relocate and is keeping a close watch on the situation.
