Farming is not just about harvesting agricultural produce, but farming is about improving one’s financial condition through animal husbandry, fisheries, and horticulture. Our government is committed to the development of both farming and agriculture. Through the River Linking Campaign and other initiatives, we have accelerated the expansion of irrigation acreage for the prosperity of farmers and their families. We have now begun providing farmers with 10 hours of electricity a day. To increase the income of farmers and livestock farmers, we have decided to encourage milk production in the state. Milk cooperatives are being formed in the state’s gram panchayats for milk collection. We are striving to ensure that farmers increase their income through animal husbandry and milk production, in addition to grain production. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is today at the third position in the country in milk production. We will make Madhya Pradesh the number one state in milk production in the next two years.
