International Women’s Day 2025: Special Event of Adani Foundation’s Women’s Honor Ceremony and Recognition of Women

500 women engaged in social upliftment were recognized.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2025, Adani Foundation organized a Women’s Honor Ceremony in Salhi village. The event was held at the playground of Salhi village under the social participation initiative of Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) at the Parsa East & Kente Basan coal mine in the Udaipur block of Surguja district.

More than 500 women from various districts of Chhattisgarh, including Surguja, Surajpur, Korba, Bilaspur, and Raipur, were invited to the event. The ceremony, themed “Accelerate Action,” featured MLA Rajesh Agarwal as the chief guest.

The event began with engaging childhood games for women, such as “Fill the Bucket with the Ball,” “Game of Luck,” and “Knock Down the Bottle,” which filled everyone with excitement. Participating women expressed how these games revived their childhood memories.

Additionally, self-help groups from different districts set up stalls showcasing their products, which became a major attraction. Eight self-help groups participated, featuring:

A stall by Mrs. Kavita Dev of Immuno Millets from Raipur also attracted attention. An M.Ed. gold medalist from Andhra University, Mrs. Dev is a visionary entrepreneur, educator, and health advocate who has been in the agriculture and millet business for the past seven years. She explained, “Millets are grains similar to wheat, rice, and barley but offer greater nutrition and health benefits. Millets are widely cultivated in the Indian subcontinent, with Chhattisgarh producing varieties such as jowar, bajra, ragi, and foxtail millet.”The event was graced by several dignitaries, including:
