Under the “Cleanliness is Service” campaign, 100 sanitation workers were honored by SECL

under the guidance of the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, a sanitation worker honor ceremony was organized at the SECL headquarters auditorium as part of the “Cleanliness is Service – 2025” campaign. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Director (Human Resources) Mr. Biranchi Das, along with General Manager (Civil) Mr. Bhanu Singh, Deputy General Manager (Human Resources-Administration/Public Relations/Official Language) Mr. Manish Srivastava, various department heads, labor union representatives, and officials-employees.

On this occasion, the Chief Guest, Director (Human Resources) of SECL, Mr. Biranchi Das, stated, “Sanitation workers are the true strength of our workplace and society. Their contribution to creating a clean and healthy environment is invaluable. We must resolve to abandon single-use plastics and celebrate every festival as a green festival.” This year’s theme for the ceremony was “Clean Festival,” aimed at minimizing the use of single-use plastics and committing to celebrate every festival as a green occasion.

The main highlight of the program was the honoring of 100 sanitation workers. These sanitation workers were recognized by the Chief Guest, Director (Human Resources) Mr. Biranchi Das, who expressed gratitude for their contributions.

It is noteworthy that SECL has been conducting a special “Cleanliness is Service” campaign from September 14 to October 2, 2025. During this period, activities such as cleaning rivers and public places, cleanliness awareness schools for children, street plays, and cultural programs are being organized. The aim of these activities is not only to promote cleanliness but also to encourage environmental protection and a green lifestyle.

The SECL management has appealed to all employees and citizens to actively contribute to building a clean, healthy, and green India by participating in the cleanliness campaign.
