  • Football competition inaugurated under MP Youth Games

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that players should not only win but also learn from the game. It is a player’s responsibility to give their best for their team, regardless of victory or defeat. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla inaugurated the football competition at the Khelo MP Youth Games at the Sports Complex, Rewa.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Shukla said that one should play with a sporting spirit. Winning or losing does not matter. There should be no pride in winning, and no disappointment in losing. One should participate in competitions with a willingness to learn, contributing with equanimity. He said that players need good grounds and sports events. There is no shortage of playgrounds in Rewa, and sports competitions are also being organized, through which players are able to showcase their talent. He said that this event is being organized on the initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. He wished all the players well. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Shukla said that a synthetic track costing Rs. 10.5 crore will be constructed in the sports complex by April. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Shukla introduced himself to the players.

Players from across the state’s divisions are playing football matches at Rewa’s Sports Complex, TRS Ground, and Sainik School Ground. More than 400 players from Rewa have also traveled to the state level to participate in various competitions. MLA Mangawa, Engineer Narendra Prajapati, Superintendent of Police Mr. Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Divisional Sports Officer Mr. M.K. Dholpuri, along with sports enthusiasts and players and coaches from across the divisions were present on the occasion.
