Mandsaur police takes major action against illegal drugs

  • MD drugs and other paraphernalia worth over Rs 1.5 crore seized, two accused arrested

Madhya Pradesh Police is continuously taking strict and effective action against the illegal drug trade in the state. In this sequence, the City Kotwali police station in Mandsaur district arrested two accused with MD drugs worth over ₹1.5 crore .

This action was taken under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Mandsaur Shri Vinod Kumar Meena, under the direction of Additional Superintendent of Police Mandsaur Shri T.S. Singh Baghel and City Superintendent of Police Mandsaur Shri Jitendra Singh Bhaskar and under the leadership of Kotwali Police Station in-charge Shri Pushpendra Singh Rathore.

On February 1 , the police station received information from an informer that Gulsher Khan Pathan, a resident of Dewalji , district Pratapgarh (Rajasthan), was coming to Mandsaur to sell MD drugs to Nandkishore alias Nandu. Acting on the information, the Kotwali police station took action at the place indicated by the informer and arrested Gulsher Khan Pathan and Nandkishore alias Nandu who was present with him. During the search, 1 kg 500 grams of illegal MD drugs , estimated to be worth Rs 1.5 crore in the international market , was recovered from the possession of both the accused. Apart from this, illegal dodachura worth Rs 7,000 and two motorcycles used in the incident were also seized. A case has been registered against the accused in the Kotwali police station under the NDPS Act.
