Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the district collectors of those districts in the state where crops have been affected by hailstorms should conduct surveys and provide immediate assistance to farmers. The year 2026 is being celebrated as the Farmer Welfare Year with the aim of ensuring all the interests of farmers and doubling their income. During the Farmer Welfare Agriculture Year, agricultural cabinets will be held in the Malwa, Nimar, Chambal, and Vindhya regions. Farmers are being encouraged to adopt activities such as horticulture, dairy farming, and fisheries alongside agriculture. Recently, the state-level Flower Festival was organized for the first time in the state. Flower production and improved marketing of flowers within the country and abroad will be encouraged. Special efforts are also being made to control stubble management and stubble burning in the state. The inclusion of mustard and other oilseed crops in the Bhavantar Yojana is being considered. A policy is being developed to promote black gram instead of green gram. Motivating farmers for this is essential. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Council of Ministers members before the cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while praising the grand organization of the state level MP Youth Games-2026 in the state, said that indigenous games should also be included in such prestigious events. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the capacity of Rewa Medical College has been increased by 750 beds. The capacity of other medical colleges in the state will also be increased. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav described the facilities developed in Shri Pashupatinath Lok and the measures taken to prevent the erosion of the statue as exemplary. He informed that in the “Annadata Samman Samaroh” organized in Malhargarh of Mandsaur, under the Bhavantar Yojana, a Bhavantar amount of Rs 200 crore was transferred to the accounts of 1 lakh 17 thousand soybean producing farmers.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the Union Budget presented under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is an important step towards achieving the goals of a developed India. The budget’s hallmark is its emphasis on the Finance Commission’s recommendations rather than political issues. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed the Council of Ministers to inform the public about the Union Budget’s highlights in their respective areas. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the eco-sensitive housing system and employment opportunities created through the tent city at the ‘Rann Utsav’ held in Kutch are commendable. He emphasized the need to take inspiration from the lion-watching experiments conducted at the safari and rescue centers in Gir National Park and to implement them in the state.
