Farmers are getting information about scientific agricultural techniques during the Farmer Welfare Year.

  • Krishi Rath is providing information to farmers about crop combinations based on the elements present in the soil.

On the initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the year 2026 is being celebrated as the “Year of Farmer Welfare.” Chief Minister Dr. Yadav launched this massive campaign to elevate agriculture to new heights with modern technology, traditional knowledge, and natural balance, and to honor and uplift the farmers. In Burhanpur district, the “Krishi Rath” was flagged off, following a district-level program and dialogue session. Burhanpur MLA Mrs. Archana Chitnis, public representatives, and progressive farmers were present on the occasion.

Krishi Rath reaches every Gram Panchayat and provides information to farmers about organic and natural farming, soil health card scheme, integrated nutrient management, pest and disease management, crop diversification, measures to make agriculture profitable, departmental schemes, e-token fertilizer distribution system and stubble management related schemes. Progressive farmers are also being given information about right soil, right farming and right crop combination to reduce production costs.

  • Farmers’ Chaupal organized in villages Patonda, Chinchala and Emagird

In Burhanpur district, a joint team of the Agriculture Department, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Animal Husbandry Department, and Cooperative Department organized a Krishak Chaupal in the Gram Panchayats of Patonda, Chinchala, and Emagird. The Krishak Chaupal provided detailed information on the e-token system for fertilizer distribution and the preparation of natural farming tools such as Jeevamrit, Beejamrit, Neemastra, Brahmastra, and Dasaparni Ark. Advice was also provided on the effects of chemical fertilizer use on soil health, soil sampling methods, and the recommendation to use fertilizers in balanced quantities. To promote pulses and oilseed crops, information was provided about the summer crops of black gram and peanuts, and people were encouraged to sow them. The Krishak Chaupals being held in various villages of Burhanpur district are also providing information on schemes and other important issues, including stubble management.

Under the Krishak Kalyan Varsh-2026, Krishi Rath reached village Bakri in Burhanpur district. During this, departmental officials organized a Chaupal and gave detailed information about advanced agriculture and techniques to the villagers. Villagers were told about organic farming, soil health card, pest and disease management, crop diversification, balanced use of fertilizers and ways to make agriculture a profitable business. Krishi Rath, operated by the Agriculture Department, is reaching every village and informing the farmers about public welfare schemes. Under the leadership of the state government, continuous efforts are being made to make the district a prosperous state from prosperous farmers.

  • “Natural Haat Bazaar” is organised every Thursday.

Under the National Mission on Natural Farming in Burhanpur district, a “Natural Haat Bazaar” is being organised every Thursday at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Krishi Upaj Mandi, Shanwara, with the aim of connecting farmers with natural farming and providing a market for their products. While observing the Haat Bazaar, Collector Mr Harsh Singh said that natural farming is also helpful in environmental protection, it increases farmers’ income and provides safe and nutritious products, and encourage other farmers to practice natural farming.
